    In the examination Raman scored 25 marks less than Rohit. Rohit scored 45 marks more than Sonia. Rohan scored 75 marks which is 10 marks more than Sonia. Ravi s score is 50 less than the maximum marks of the test.What approximate percentage of marks did Ravi score in the exam if he get 34 marks more than Raman?

    We know that Ravi's score + 50 = Maximum marks


    So maximum marks is 119 + 50 = > 169

    Now % of Ravi's marks is :

    120/170 * 100 => Approx 70%


    We can adopt some shortcut approach too.....

    50% of 170 = 85

    20% of 170 = 34

    _________________

    70% of 170 = 119



    Hence answer is approximately 70%....
